Your journey begins here.

Real Estate, home building, and house restoration have been a part of my life as far back as I can remember, and for the past 11 years, I have been a real estate agent at the Charles Reinhart Company Realtors. As a member of the Flewelling Team, I helped 22 families buy and sell homes in 2024 for $14.9 Million in total sales. I have been in the Charles Reinhart Company's President's Club for Sales Excellence 9 years in a row. Sales statistics do not mean much to me though. Helping my clients is the most satisfying part of my job.

As a lifelong resident of the Ann Arbor area, having grown up in Salem and Superior Townships, I know and love the city of Ann Arbor.  From the amazing cultural amenities, the lively streetscapes, beautiful historic neighborhoods, and the natural beauty of the Huron River, parks, and surrounding countryside, it truly is one the best and most livable cities in the country.

Upon graduation from University of Michigan, where I earned a BA in History in 2000, I began purchasing, restoring and selling neglected historic houses. In 2008 and 2018, I won Rehabilitation Awards from the Ann Arbor Historic District Commission for the restoration of two Greek Revival homes. In addition, I worked as a painting and restoration contractor for over 20 years. Between my own projects, and working on my clients' houses, I have seen just about everything when it comes to older and historic homes, good and bad. It is my hope that I can use my extensive experience to help my clients make informed decisions when it comes to buying or selling a home, whether it was built last year or 180 years ago.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, gardening and landscaping, travel, volunteering with local historical groups, as well as giving tours and lectures on local history. I am also an award winning amateur cider maker, and maintain an apple and pear orchard of 200 trees. I served as Chair of the Ann Arbor Historic District Commission, on the HDC Awards Committee, as President of the Ann Arbor Historical Foundation, and was the Chair of Germantown Historic District Study Committee. I now serve on the executive committee of the Ann Arbor Historical Foundation. In 2014, my book Historic Ann Arbor: An Architectural Guide, which I co-authored with Susan Wineberg, was released. It features profiles of 375 of Ann Arbor's most significant historic buildings, and is one of my proudest accomplishments.

I live in Ann Arbor Township, in an 1861 Italianate farmhouse, with my wife Andrea, our two rescue dogs, and rescue cat.
